Professor. Arezou's journey
Professor. Arezou was raised in a mix-background family in the United States. From a young age, she was compelled to manage the hurdles of multiculturalism and saw firsthand how differences in culture, gender, and access made a drastic difference in people’s future success.
Such personal experiences in life propelled her curiosity as to what factors can remedy the gaps that impacted diverse peoples’ outcomes and sharpened her determination to improve her outcomes and outcomes of others in similar situations. Her observation led her to realize education was one of the significant factors that made a crucial difference in reducing the gap for those with diverse backgrounds. As she was a woman, she also realized that she would need to be empowered in addition to being educated to reach where she would help people.
